I travel because it makes me realize how much I haven’t seen, how much I’m not going to see, and how much I still need to see.
— Carew Papritz

Setting out from your accommodation in Kenmare, travel towards Killarney via Molls Gap, with stops to admire the scenic views towards Killarney Lakes and Black Valley. Follow in the footsteps of Queen Victoria at Ladies View - so-called as it was a favourite spot for her ladies-in-waiting when the Queen visited and stayed in Killarney in 1861. Killarney National Park offers a wealth of scenery and experiences, all set against the stunning backdrop of lakes and mountains - Torc Waterfall, the ruins of Muckross Abbey, and the Victorian Muckross House. On the other side of Killarney, perched on the edge of the picturesque Lough Leane, is the 15th century Ross Castle

Killarney is a bustling town that offers plenty of options to soak up the atmosphere, enjoy lunch and  indulge in some retail therapy.

We return to Kenmare via Kilgarvan.
