Experience the scenic Ring of Kerry with local expert guides

Overview

Travel in comfort on this 179km loop drive from Kenmare to Killarney, along winding roads and rugged coastline. Passing through seaside villages, colourful towns and rural landscapes, enjoy stunning scenery and numerous photo opportunities. Sample Irish hospitality at an award-winning artisan food producer, local pub or enjoy a picnic at a scenic stop-off point.

Our tours give you a unique experience and the chance to go off the beaten track, exploring parts of the Ring of Kerry that the larger tour buses cannot access.

We wander for distraction, but we travel for fulfilment.
— Hilaire Belloc

Setting out from Kenmare, our tour passes through nearby Sneem and the seaside village of Waterville, a favourite holiday spot for Charlie Chaplin.  From here, travel the Skeillig Ring stopping to sample the delights of the artisan Skellig Chocolate Factory before bracing the wild Atlantic air at the Kerry cliffs with views to Skellig Michael - a UNESCO World Heritage Site and film location for Star Wars!  A stop at the Skellig Experience Visitor Centre on Valentia Island is recommended.  Then on to Cahirciveen, birthplace in 1775 of “The Liberator” Daniel O’Connell, the first Irish Catholic elected as a Member of Parliament.

Onward along the coast to Rossbeigh Beach, Glenbeigh and the riverside town of Killorglin before reaching Killarney National Park. Soak in the stunning views at Ladies View, with a vista of the upper Killarney Lakes.  Driving through Moll’s Gap offers wonderful views of the McGillicuddy Reeks - Ireland’s highest mountain range - before returning to Kenmare.
